Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Roadmaster diode wiring kit for flat towing. Adding a diode wiring kit to the taillights on your Tahoe is going to give you the same type of functioning that you would if you had trailer lights. So because you're pulling your vehicle behind your motor home, you have to be able to transfer the lighting signals from the motor home to the back of your Tahoe, and that's what these are designed to do. They're gonna tie in behind the taillights with your factory wiring so that when you're not using your vehicle to be flat towed behind your motor home, your taillights are gonna operate just as normal. There are a couple other options out there on the market for lighting to get lights to the back of your vehicle while you're flat towing it. more

Today we've got a 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 Duramax, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the Roadmaster Diode Wiring Kit. When you're flat towing your Silverado behind your motor home, you have to have a way to transfer lighting signals from the motor home to the back of your vehicle. Whether that comes from your stick on magnetic lights, your bulb and socket, those two methods are kind of an older method of transferring those signals, that's where diode wiring comes into play. This is my favorite way to transfer those signals 'cause you're just using your tail lights as if they are your trailer lights. It's essentially the same thing. more

Adding diode wiring to your blazer is going to help you to transfer the lighting signals from your motor home to the back of your blazer whenever you're flat towing. Now some other options that you have for lighting whenever you're flat towing your vehicle are going to be magnetic lights, which can kind of be a hassle to set up because you have to run a 4-pole from the back of your vehicle all the way up to the front every single time you wanna flat tow. And then you have to find a place to store those whenever you're not using 'em. So I really don't care for those, especially with newer vehicles having aluminum panels on the vehicle, you can't stick the magnets to those so you're gonna have to have- find a different place to be able to mount those up. more

Demco 4-Diode Universal Towed Vehicle Wiring Kit Installation - 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video

Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Demco Diode Wiring Kit on a 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500. There's five required components when flat towing any vehicle, and on our Chevy 1500 today, we'll start by taking a look at the base plate, and the base plate is gonna mount to where the factory tow hooks were or structurally to the frame of the vehicle, creating a mounting point for the rest of your components, and also your tow bar. Tow bar is your second component, and that is connecting point between the base plate and the hitch on the RV. Now just like a trailer, we have our safety cables here that'll attach to the tabs on the base plate that are gonna be your safety chain loops, and then you'll just attach those to the safety chain loops on your RV. We also have our diode wiring, which is gonna transmit the light signals from the RV to the taillights on the towed vehicle, keeping you safe and legal. more

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the best flat tow setup for a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox. Now, there's five main components required for flat towing your Equinox down the road, and we will start on the vehicle side and that's gonna start with the base plate and that attaches to the frame of the vehicle and gives us the structural mounting point for the rest of our connections. And the connecting point between the base plate and the hitch on the RV is gonna be your tow bar and that's your second component. Again, this is the physical attachment and basically, like, the coupler of your trailer, this is what is going to pull this down the road. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for towed vehicles on a 2020 Chevrolet Spark. Now your diode wiring is simply going to run from a 6-pole in the front of the vehicle back to the taillights where we tie into the factory wiring. And what that means is we can simply just plug in our umbilical and it's gonna receive those light sequences from the RV. So if you plan on flat towing your vehicle more than a few times a year, this is a nice easy way to do it. And also having a 6-pole up front means that you can tie in other accessories like a charge line with a 12 volt power supply. So it does have some benefits. more

Roadmaster Smart Diode Wiring Kit Installation - 2022 Chevrolet Spark- Video

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster diode wiring kit on a 2022 Chevy Spark. Now I have the hazards on my RV, and you can see it's mimicking on the tail lights of our vehicle. And if you've ever seen a flat towed vehicle before, sometimes you may notice they have those magnetic lights that are on here, and that means you're draping a wire all the way up to the front. Now they have wireless options as well, but that's one more component that you have to tag along with all of the rest of your equipment, where diode wiring really makes it easy to just plug into the front, you're also gonna get some 12 volt power supply generally from a 6-pole, so it's really nice to be able to just plug in and have these ready to go. And what it's gonna do is just run from the 7-pole on your RV, through the 6-pole, and you're gonna have wire running back to your tail lights where you tie into diodes, and that way you can mimic your running lights, your brake lights, as well as your turn signals, and that's gonna keep you safe and legal and let the people behind you know what you're indicating to do. Now it's pretty easy, you are gonna be pulling your tail light out and then tying in to that factory wiring, and it's just a couple spade connectors that you'll be attaching, and really the hardest part is running your wire all the way up to the front of the vehicle. more

Installation -Roadmaster Fuse Bypass Switch - 2020 Chevrolet Sonic- Video

Hi there Chevy owners. Today in our 2020 Chevy Sonic, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's fuse bypass kits. We're gonna be using a double fuse harness as well as two single harnesses to disconnect all the fuses required on our Sonic today. These fuse bypass kits will allow you to quickly remove the fuses from your vehicle with a simple press of a button. Oftentimes your vehicles require fuses to be pulled when placed into flat-tow mode to prevent the battery from draining and to ensure it's in a safe state where you can pull it without causing any damage to the vehicle. To prevent you from having to open the hood and pull out a fuse and some of the fuses are pretty small, you need a little like a pair of needle-nose pliers or a fuse puller to be able to get 'em out. more
